Thank you and well done to everyone who took part or supported their club on a tremendous day in 2018!

We’re all riding again on 2 June 2019 with the aim of raising over £50,000! We raised over £37,000 in 2018 through participation and sponsorship and with your help, we can do even better.

What is it all about?

On Sunday 2nd June 2019, more than 200 riders are expected to visit as many as 15 rugby clubs in West Kent over 100 miles of open roads.
For those not up to that challenge, there are two 65 mile options. All the routes were circular and riders started and finished at their own rugby club.

This year we’ve also added two 30 mile route options too!

This event is not a race and is not marshalled. Each rider is provided with a Strava route commencing and finishing at their own club relating to the distance they’ve entered. Club reps and volunteers will be available at each club to assist riders as they proceeded, and there will be refreshment stops at various intervals along the route.

IS YOUR CLUB TAKING PART? IF THEY’RE NOT HERE YET, WE CAN ADD YOU IN!

Don’t forget, you can raise money both for Wooden Spoon and your own club when you take part!

Promote your company in Kent

We are seeking to partner with a small number of companies who share rugby’s core values and wish to affiliate themselves with our endeavours, creating a lasting legacy for less fortunate children and for the wider rugby community.

In return for their support, we are able to provide promotion through social media, on the event cycle jersey and on this website to raise the profile of your firm…. You are even welcome to join us on two wheels!

All expenses incurred will be paid for by the riders themselves, thus ensuring every penny raised goes to Kent Wooden Spoon and the rugby clubs themselves.

With an amazing reaction from riders from all 14 clubs, this has the potential to have a great impact on the children’s future and help give them access to the same opportunities as every young person in the country.
